About Me
My Instructional Design Journey
While working as a respiratory therapist in a critical environment, I discovered a passion for teaching patients and my co-workers in order to help them learn. My interest in helping others learn lead me to working for a health insurance company in their training department, where I learned more about instructional design. This inspired me to pursue a master’s degree in the field and I have loved it ever since.
Why I love Instructional Design
I love instructional design because it blends creativity with my passion for helping others learn. My medical background gives me an understanding of human learning and compassion, while my corporate experience has taught me to approach problems from multiple perspectives. I thrive on designing customized learning solutions by exploring various options and applying an instructional design frameworks to create detailed, realistic, and relevant learning experiences.

I like to help stakeholders navigate change and innovate by combining their input with my expertise. With experience in leadership, project management, delegation, and mentoring, I provide successful project execution while supporting team development.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, crocheting, hiking, and traveling with my husband and two children.
